Position Overview

Limelight Sports is the UK's leading grassroots sports marketing and event management company. We specialise in the creation and delivery of high profile, participation-based sports events and programmes.

Our projects include Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile, Mayor of London’s sky ride, Palace to Palace, Swimathon, J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon and Balfour Beatty London Youth Games.

We employ a large number of event day staff who are an important part of the Limelight Sports team, helping to ensure that we deliver our events to the highest possible standards for both our clients, stakeholders and the event participants.

Personal Characteristics

Limelight Sports event day staff should demonstrate a pro-active, can-do approach to their work, be calm under pressure and possess high level customer service skills.

Successful candidates should have the following experience and skills:

Essential

• Friendly and enthusiastic
• Polite with a helpful manner
• Good communication skills
• Confident and diplomatic in approach
• Smart personal appearance
• Good team working skills
• Fluent English
• Ability to work on site for long periods (primarily outdoors)
• Interest in sport / events

Desirable

• Experience in dealing with the general public, ideally in a customer service-based role would be advantageous.
